Ce livre sur les réseaux s'adresse aussi bien aux personnes désireuses de comprendre les réseaux informatiques qu'aux informaticiens plus expérimentés souhaitant renforcer et mettre à jour leurs connaissances.
Les principes de base sont présentés (normes, architectures courantes, câblages, codage des données, topologie, réseaux sans fil, interconnexions de réseaux...) puis les différents protocoles qui comptent dans les réseaux informatiques (PXE, WOL, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ADSL, WiMax...) sont déclinés d'un point de vue opérationnel sans noyer le lecteur dans un discours trop théorique. Un panorama des objets connectés IoT est également proposé.
La configuration réseau est examinée pour Windows, Linux, Mac OS, iOS et Android. La partie stockage est également présentée en détaillant clairement les typologies de disque (rotatif ou SSD) ainsi que les notions telles que NAS, SAN, zoning, Fibre Channel, FCoE et iSCSI ; les protocoles de réplication entre baies sont également décrits. Le fonctionnement de la déduplication pour les sauvegardes est expliqué en détail ainsi que le principe des WAAS.
Une synthèse sur la virtualisation est proposée permettant au lecteur de bien comprendre les enjeux, les avantages et inconvénients apportés par les différentes solutions du marché. Les technologies ATM et autres relais de trames sont également abordés. D'un point de vue matériel réseau, l'algorithme du Spanning tree est expliqué, ainsi que le fonctionnement de VSS. Une mise en oeuvre des VLANs au travers d'exemples concrets est également proposée afin de faciliter la compréhension.
Concernant le routage, les protocoles RIP, OSPF et BGP sont passés en revue, ainsi que HSRP. Les protocoles TCP/IP sont présentés en détail : en particulier la décomposition en sous-réseaux en IPv4, ainsi qu'une nouvelle approche complète de l'adressage IPv6 (dont la voix sur IP). Les services réseau tels que DHCP, DNS, NTP ou SNMP sont également examinés. Un chapitre traite des principes de base de la sécurité face aux menaces qui pèsent sur un réseau.

Après une description des composants matériels, vous apprendrez à apprivoiser le fonctionnement du Bios, de l'UEFI et à diagnostiquer l'origine d'une panne. Vous connaîtrez les différentes procédures d'installation et les étapes de démarrage des systèmes d'exploitation Microsoft. Vous découvrirez ensuite les nouveautés de Windows 10 et quelques manipulations basiques. Se ha incorporado a clase un alumno marroquí. Además de guapo, Said es inteligente y amable. Todas las miradas de las chicas de clase se posan en él. Pero, como en otras ocasiones, es Klara la que se hace con el chico. Para ella, que recurre al más patético estereotipo de sufrimiento, enamorarse es sinónimo de sacrificio. El amor romántico, causa de tanta frustración.

A Miren no le gusta por ser guapo, o no solo por eso. Para ella Said es inteligente y amable, además de agradable. Le parece que Said es una persona sensible, algo que ella aprecia de verdad, lejos del convencionalismo racista y clasista de Klara. Palabras como amistad, solidaridad, tolerancia o libertad contienen para ella un valor significativo impagable. Y hace suya la sugerencia del profesor de Literatura en el sentido de que, aunque en ocasiones no hay otro remedio, no hemos venido a este mundo a sufrir. Juega a su favor la dimensión más plena y bella del Romanticismo. La rebeldía y la aspiración por mejorar lo que nos ha dado la vida (o lo que somos). La novela versa sobre el amor y la vida; y lo que el cultivo de la sensibilidad (y el arte) nos puede deparar en el camino.

Una vez más, Ramon Saizarbitoria nos regala una obra escrita con maestría narrativa y humana dirigida a todos los lectores, jóvenes y adultos.
